Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced IT Support Technician to support a UK-based employer in providing first and second line technical support to staff and systems. This role is ideal for a South African professional who is organised, proactive, and confident working with UK teams remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support IT helpdesk tickets, hardware and software troubleshooting, and user onboarding
- Handle system monitoring, software installations, and remote desktop support tasks
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders across time zones
- Maintain accurate records of support tickets, IT asset registers, and incident logs
- Use relevant tools such as ticketing systems, remote desktop software, and Microsoft 365 admin tools
- Support the wider team with network administration, security patching, and IT documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve system uptime, response times, and IT service delivery
Qualifications and Experience
- 2+ years of experience in IT support or a related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple support tickets simultaneously
- Proficient in Windows environments, Microsoft 365, and remote support tools
- Able to work independently and manage your own time effectively
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Experience working with UK-based clients or employers is advantageous
- Must have a reliable laptop, stable internet connection, and a quiet working environment
Salary: R28,000/month | 100% Remote
