Job Title: Senior Payroll Specialist

Location: Fully Remote (South Africa)
Working Hours: UK hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Salary: R40,000/month

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Specialist with at least 5 years of payroll expertise to lead payroll operations for a UK-based business. In this role, you will take ownership of end-to-end payroll processes, implement improvements, and act as a mentor to junior payroll staff. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role in a growing remote team while working collaboratively with the UK office.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee end-to-end payroll processes for high-volume temporary labor payrolls.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Provide detailed reporting and analysis of payroll data for key stakeholders.
• Resolve complex payroll-related queries, ensuring a high level of service to clients.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement payroll best practices.
• Mentor and support junior payroll team members to ensure consistent high performance.
• Collaborate closely with the UK-based team to ensure seamless integration between operations.

Requirements

• Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of payroll experience, preferably in high-volume or international environments.
  • Proven track record of implementing process improvements in payroll operations.
• Skills:
  • Advanced knowledge of payroll software and systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to handle complex client interactions.
  • Leadership and mentoring experience in a remote or hybrid work environment.
